Documents you should have to rent a car:
Your driving experience (indicated in the driver’s license) must be at least 2 years.
Your age should be at least 21 years old. To rent a car of FDAR, SFAR, PDAR, PFAR, LFAR, ITAR, and PSAR car groups you should not be below 25 years old.
Please pay attention to the list of countries signed the Vienna Road Traffic Convention 1968 on the UN website. If your country is not in the list you should have International Driving Permit in addition to your national driving license. International Driving Permit is valid only together with your national driving license.
In addition to rental cost you need to provide the deposit which depends on the car group. The deposit can be decreased if Top Cover LDW or Super Top Cover LDW are taken. The deposit is blocked on your credit card. Please pay your attention that the amount of the deposit is not charged to your credit card. It will be unblocked when you return the car.
We highlight the necessity of the card holder’s presence with his own ID at the moment of pick up the car. The credit card must be valid for the whole rental period.

If you are traveling not alone, please take advantage of our «Additional driver» service. You can add an additional driver (or several drivers) to your contract for 15,00 EUR per driver for the whole rental period.Please note that all drivers included in the contract must be present at the time of pick up the car with passport and driver's license.
You can rent a car with limited and unlimited mileage. In case of over mileage you should pay additional amount which depends on the number of kilometers and the car group.
All vehicles are supplied with the same quantity of fuel as it was picked up and should be refilled prior to return to Sixt, otherwise our current refuel charge in the amount of 2,00 EUR per liter will apply.
You can use our additional service «Prepaid fuel» and return the car with an empty tank. The cost of this service is calculated for each model of the vehicle individually and depends on the tank size and average market price for fuel.
The customer has to inform the company's representative about the necessary maintenance not later than 500 km before the mileage specified in the act of acceptance to the rental agreement and arrive at the appointed time at the necessary service station. If the customer does not inform in time about the necessary maintenance and / or does not show up at the service station specified by the company representative for maintenance, he is obliged to pay the cost of maintenance and a fine in the amount of 4 000 Euro. Replacement car for the period of such maintenance is not provided.
You can take and return the car at any time convenient for you (at night as well as on bank holidays) for extra charge 25,00 EUR.
You can take and return the car in any city of Ukraine even if there is no SIXT rental station there. If there is a Sixt branch in the city you have to pay 150,00 EUR extra. If you would like us to deliver the car to another city please contact our customer service department and we will calculate delivery charges*.
Cross border rentals are not allowed. Entry into the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk Region is not allowed.
SIXT worries about your financial risks. Therefore insurance is included in rental cost of any vehicle. Insurance of the rental car includes:

LDW is insurance in case of theft or damage of the car. Loss damage waiver is included in rental cost of any car and the customer needs to have certain amount on the credit card to be blocked as an excess (the customer's responsibility for a car). The maximum responsibility of the customer (excess) in case of damage depends on the car group. However, a deposit will be required.
Top Cover LDW
The renter has an opportunity to decrease the responsibility and deposit up to 50% buying the additional insurance – Top Cover LDW. The maximum responsibility (excess) in case of road accident or theft depends on the car group. However, a deposit will be required.
Super Top Cover LDW
The renter has an opportunity to decrease the responsibility up to 100% buying the additional insurance – Super Top Cover LDW. The maximum responsibility (excess) in case of rode accident or theft depends on the car group. However the deposit will be required. Super Top Cover does not cover the issues if the insurance company refuses to pay compensation to the Owner or Lessor of the vehicle due to the reasons depending on the Lessee actions or inactions.

The renter must be the owner of the credit card. The authorized driver details and method of payment will be confirmed while reservation is made and cannot be amended. The confirmed credit card should be valid and available on collection of the vehicle and for the whole rental period. All extra costs that occur during the car rental will be charged to this credit card. After booking a prepaid rate the credit card will be charged directly before the rental start with the total amount of rental. In case of a charge back your reservation is automatically cancelled and SIXT is no longer under any legal obligation to provide the reserved rental car. Paid reservation can be changed for an additional cost.

** The Customer bears total responsibility for all damages of the Car or its loss in case of violation of traffic laws and terms and conditions of the Agreement: violation of the exploitation manual (including hydraulic stroke of the engine), towing, race competition, driving by person under the influence of alcohol or drugs (including unwillingness of inspection), driving by person who is not stated in the Agreement or does not have driving license, driving the Car opposite traffic, in observance of traffic signs, driving through the forbidden signal of the traffic light or gesture of the traffic controller, violation of rules of crossing railways, leaving of the place of accident, deliberate damage of the Car, theft of the Car with keys or any other document inside the Car (registration document, rental agreement etc.) as well as in case the Car is not parked on the safety place or parked during night time not on the guarded parking place or in garage.
